Solo cd ‘Touch’
Availiable again soon
The accompanying booklet is very extensive with a personal note to the tracks and lots of pictures.
"It's always been my ambition to bring different sounds, rhythms, colours and structures together. From the touch of a hand on a drum to the heartbeat of a stick. Of primitive rhythms on wood and calfhead skins, through bare hands on timpani and bass drum, to dreams behind the piano surrounded by drums, finally ending jazzy and funky on the kit. These are my musical roots, which I hope you will enjoy. My sincerest thanks go out to Edwin van der Kley, Director and founder of Siltech Corporation, who gave me this opportunity. And Eelco Grimm, the most musical technical freak I've ever met! They made my dream come true". Signed, Maarten van der Valk.
